According to data from the Instituto Rede Mulher Empreendedora, nearly half of small businesses in Brazil are now led by women. We are talking about 30 million women in a universe of 52 million female entrepreneurs, according to the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor, the main survey on entrepreneurship in the world carried out in partnership with Sebrae.
But, after all, who are these women who inspire so many others? So let’s meet some of them who are in leadership positions and are driving companies to achieve remarkable growth, by breaking down barriers inside and outside their companies.

Diversity
Samanta Lopes is the MDI program coordinator at um.a, a Black and peripheral woman. The struggle is daily, but today she can be proud of the two degrees, the specializations she has achieved and the career she has built. Since 2019 she is the coordinator of the Master in Inclusive Diversity Program (MDI) at um.a, live marketing agency.
His professional trajectory reflects this concern. From an early age he worked in the corporate environment in different segments: insurance, jewellery, sales management, coordination, training, etc. In 2014, however, she decided to make a career change. She went through a coaching career and saved the dream of acting with education.

Jewelry store
Yara Machado is the CEO of Céu de Prata, a São Paulo company focused on the sale of jewelry. The businesswoman had her first contact with the area at the age of 8, when she accompanied her mother to the factory. The matriarch arrived orphaned from within Paraíba to work in an industry in the sector in 1990. After a few years, she saw the opportunity to undertake and brought the sisters to the branch, leaving the company where she worked and creating its own wholesale shop.

Cristina Sindicic is CMO (marketing and sales) and Beatriz Samara is CPO of Olga Ri, a food startup operating from cloud kitchens. Cristina, an architect graduated from the Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado (FAAP), did not think of becoming an entrepreneur, she was satisfied with her professional choice. But at the age of 26, pushed by her brother Bruno, she accepted the challenge of starting the project from scratch.
Beatriz, who is also an architect, has always had an entrepreneurial streak. At the age of 18 she was making brigadeiros and selling them to friends and family; she even received an order with over a thousand units for a wedding. Olga Ri was born from this meeting.

Chef Dani Bandeira, in turn, is the founder of Tuk Tuk, a company focused on healthy and Ayurvedic cooking. The entrepreneur graduated in nutrition in 1993 and, in 2013, when there was little talk of vegetarianism, veganism and the importance of healthy eating, she founded Tuk Tuk, operating on the coast of Sao Paulo.

Alaíde Barbosa is the CEO of Capri Venture, a pet technology building business. The company is the creator of Anilhas Capri, for the identification of wild animals, which has signed a partnership with FCJ Venture Builder, a multinational in the venture builder segment. Patrícia Zanlorenci is CEO of Vellore Ventures, a venture builder created by the Vellore Group. This is a Paraná company that manages the Foxlux and Famastil brands, main players in the import and sale of lighting products, electrical equipment and tools for construction, gardening and agriculture.

Carol Gilberti is the CEO and creator of Mubius WomenTech Ventures, a venture builder focused on solutions for the female universe. She aims to increase the number of women in leadership by empowering and leveraging women-focused, female-driven solutions businesses. Additionally, she invites men from businesses related to these premises to become a part of her ideals of her.

Gabriela Lima is CEO of Dr Mep, created exclusively by women, in partnership with Capri Venture, the startup is the first in the world to develop technologies for the remote care of pets. The system uses high technology to connect a base of practitioners and mentors.

Priscila Spadinger is CEO of Aleve LegalTech Venture through the corporate venture builder model. Aleve is able to bring legal organizations closer to the innovation ecosystem through startups. After all, by being more open to risk, using agility and using new technologies, these companies are able to reach the disruptive horizon more easily.
Retail
Flávia Pini is a partner of HiPartners Capital & Work, a venture capital firm focused on innovative retail startups with high growth potential. Alongside her husband, Walter Sabini Junior, she is looking for technology companies with solutions aimed at the sector. Lei flávia manages a BRL 100 million fund operating in the tech retail segment in Brazil.

Sexuality
Isabela Cerqueira is the creator and CEO of Good Vibres, a company that emerged on the Internet as a pioneer in the popularization of sexual well-being. At the age of 26, the engineer left a job with a multinational corporation and set up the company in a back room of her house. To break the taboos on sexuality, she Isabela focuses on the debate on the subject and on the sale of accessories that increase the capacity for pleasure in intimate moments, such as vibrators, suction cups, lubricants, etc.

Helena Dias is partner and head of research projects at Apoema. She graduated in social communication (ESPM RS), she has been working for over ten years in behavioral research and conducts studies for clients such as Ikea, Nike, Nivea, Itaú and Google, among others. After living in Portugal for three years and working with the European market, you returned to Brazil to join the company.

Julia Ades is the founder and head of research and content at Apoema. She holds a degree in social communication from ESPM-SP, she has also been working in behavioral research for over ten years and conducts studies for clients such as Nike, Google, Natura, Rappi, Itaú, among others. Open, creative and very communicative, she has always loved studying psychology, anthropology, sociology and philosophy.
