The Spanish artist first stepped onto the stage at the Pequeño Teatro Gran Vía on September 30, 2025, taking on the role of Macorina in a production that combined dramatic monologue with live musical performances.
Marking the milestone on September 30, Gómez returned to the stage on the previous Saturday to step back into the costume and shoes of her character for a special anniversary performance. She also shared a retrospective video on her Instagram account featuring footage from her functions, reflecting on the artistic milestone and describing the initial vertigo of stepping outside her comfort zone.
A monologue built on intense preparation
Written and directed by Andrés López de la Rica, Rincones put Gómez center stage for nearly an hour and a half during each performance. The singer underwent more than a year of rigorous preparation before opening the show for an initial run of 12 dates in the heart of the capital. Although Gómez had previously dabbled in acting across the Atlantic in Latin America, the stage monologue represented her first major dramatic theatre production.
Reflecting on the past year, Gómez stated that stepping onto a new stage felt daunting, recalling the fear, nerves, and excitement she experienced during the debut. To commemorate two decades in the music industry, Gómez is currently embarking on a nationwide concert tour across Spain titled 20 años de canciones. The show explores her musical evolution, blending traditional copla, a dramatic Spanish musical genre that defined her early vocal style, with modern pop and electronic experiments. Her tour setlist features landmark tracks such as Bórrame el recuerdo and Indomable alongside electro-infused songs including El peón y la reina, Que te vaya bonito, and Déjà vu.
