Maria Niarchos-Gouazé, daughter of the late shipping magnate Stavros Niarchos, made a rare public appearance captured in a photo shared by Belgian-American fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg, creator of the iconic wrap dress, on her personal social media page.
The two women attended a seated dinner aboard a boat, part of a larger group enjoying summer holidays together.
Second public sighting this year
The appearance marks only the second time Niarchos-Gouazé has been seen publicly this year, following her presence at this year's Royal Ascot after the victory of the thoroughbred horse Enceladus, owned by her company, the award-winning Flaxman Stables.
That earlier appearance became known through photos posted by the company's horse trainer, Joseph O'Brien, on his personal account. Niarchos-Gouazé and her siblings, Philip and Spyros Niarchos, generally avoid being photographed and systematically stay away from public events and appearances.
