Love Island stars Megan Moore and Dejon Noel-Williams have officially reunited after splitting following their departure from the reality show villa last summer.
Dejon, 27, shared photographs to Instagram on Tuesday night documenting his second girlfriend proposal during a hotel stay, where the pair packed on the public displays of affection.
The romantic gesture featured a hotel bedroom decorated with balloons reading, "Will you be my girlfriend baby girl?" Megan, 26, appeared delighted in the pictures as she held up a glass of fizz while wearing a nude maxi dress.
The couple announced their reconciliation in a joint caption on the post, writing: "life brought us back to where we started. boyfriennn and girlfriendd are sooo back."
During their romantic weekend away, the pair also dined at Asian fusion restaurant chain The Ivy Asia, posing together for a photo during their evening out.
A tumultuous year after the villa
The couple have experienced a tumultuous relationship over the past 12 months since leaving Love Island, the ITV2 reality dating show where single contestants couple up in a sun-soaked villa to find romance.
Dejon previously asked Megan to be his girlfriend during a romantic sunset date while they were still competing inside the villa.
After leaving the series, the couple endured a rocky period before splitting last autumn, although they began reappearing on each other's social media accounts in April.
Following their initial breakup, Megan shared a cryptic post on her social media channels urging her followers to know their worth.
"Normalise saying 'I deserve better' because you absolutely do," Megan wrote at the time. "Repeat it like a mantra, and let it sink deep within you. Don't let fear or doubt hold you back from claiming the love, respect and happiness you deserve. You're worthy of more. Never settle for less."
Christmas breakup and public statements
Just days before last Christmas, Dejon confirmed that their romance had ended, writing on Instagram that it was with "great sadness" he was announcing their breakup.
Dejon, who faced heavy online trolling after leaving the villa, explained that navigating a relationship after the intensity of the show brought incredible memories alongside significant difficulties.
"It is with great sadness that I have parted ways with Meg after almost seven months together," Dejon said in his statement. "Navigating a relationship after the intensity of the villa has had incredible memories, but it also came with difficulties, especially being in the public eye, trying to incorporate work as a personal trainer and setting up a new business along the way."
He added: "I wish things could have been different, and the next period of adjustment will be hard for us both, but I wish Meg nothing but the best for the future."
Megan echoed Dejon's statement at the time, stating she was "truly gutted" to confirm the end of their relationship while thanking fans for supporting her Love Island journey.
"It saddens me that I've had to write this unexpectedly but I always want to be honest with everyone that's supported and followed me along my journey in finding love," Megan wrote in her statement.
"I am truly gutted that mine and Dejon's relationship has come to an end. I'm so grateful for all the good times we shared and I want to thank you all for the support and love you gave to me and us throughout our relationship. All I ask of now is please respect my privacy and have a little patience and understanding as I try to navigate this turn."
Love Island journey and co-star backlash
Despite their public breakup announcements, Megan and Dejon were spotted spending New Year's Eve together just days after confirming their split. They ultimately proved their former co-stars wrong by lasting seven months together following their departure from the show.
The pair first met during the summer series of Love Island and were the only couple to remain together continuously from the start of the show until they were dumped just days before the television finale.
Their exit occurred when dumped Islanders returned to the villa to cast the deciding vote on who would reach the end of the series and compete for the £50,000 cash prize, making Megan and Dejon the unlucky couple to miss out on the final.
Former co-stars voted against the couple after viewers branded Dejon a "narcissist" for his behaviour during his time on the show.
The former semi-professional footballer, who now works as a personal trainer, was the only Love Island contestant from the summer series to break the fourth wall by commenting on the cameras and discussing how his relationship with Megan was being perceived by the outside world.
Online trolling and new ventures
In his first interview after leaving the villa, Dejon addressed the public reaction, admitting he does have empathy but felt "lost" and "confused" while in the villa, finding it particularly difficult to be vulnerable on national television.
Following a wave of online trolling and thousands of hateful messages, including death threats, Dejon revealed that he was forced to turn off comments on his social media profile.
Since leaving the show, Dejon has focused on launching a new London fitness business called Vibe Tribe Run Club, which brings members together for weekly runs in central London.
Megan supported Dejon in the new business venture, even completing her first 5K by participating in the project.
