Cisco offers 1,500 scholarships in digital security courses


Cisco, a global technology leader, is offering 1,500 cybersecurity scholarships to students across Brazil.

A ciscoworld leader in technology, offers 1,500 scholarships in cyber security for students from all over Brazil. This edition of the CiberEducação program commemorates the 25th anniversary of the Cisco Networking Academy, its education and employability program.




The company also has strategic partnerships with national institutions, such as SENAI, Centro Paula Souza and Senac, to encourage student education. In terms of opportunities, graduates can obtain internships through their partnership with CIEE and permanent jobs through the ecosystem of Cisco customer or member companies.

With more than 3,500 trained professionals, more than 260 direct job opportunities and partnerships with 46 companies have been offered in recent editions, with more than 110 students doing internships through CIEE. According to data from Brasscom, more than 29,000 information security jobs are expected to be created by 2025.

How does the program work?

The program has three phases, the first being the Cisco Brasil CyberEducation Marathon, which includes the 30-hour online course “Fundamentals of Cybersecurity”. The second, intended for those who have completed the marathon, provides 1,500 scholarships for professional training courses in CCNA1, focused on networks, and Network Security, for the training of cybersecurity analysts. Both have 140 hours of training.

The third and final phase is the practical application of what you have learned along the way, with internships and job opportunities offered by Cisco’s ecosystem of partners and customers.
