‘American Horror Story’ is surprisingly reliable when it comes to guessing a release date.
Other than the tenth season, which was delayed a year due to real-life horrors (COVID), all other seasons aired in September or October in consecutive years. Knowing this, we should see ‘American Horror Story’ season 12 in October, or possibly even September 2023.

Ryan Murphy likes to repeat with the actors and actresses most iconic of the series, who have participated in several seasons of the series in different characters and even in other series produced by the creator. as is the case of Evan Peters in ‘Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story’ and Sarah Paulson in ‘Ratched’.
However, pillars like Jessica Lange and Peters himself don’t turn up as regularly as they used to, and even the usually reliable sarah paulson has recently stated that not likely to return to franchise.
“I’ll always be open to it,” Paulson said, “but I feel like I’ve been doing it for a long time, and people might start to get tired of me in that world. In April 2021, Murphy opened a survey (now removed) to ask fans what track they’d like to see next. Options included Aliens, Christmas Horror, Bloody Mary, Piggy Man, Mermaids and Plagues.
Aliens played an unforgettable role in Season 10, so they’re out, plus Bloody Mary starred in an entire episode dedicated to her in Season 2 of ‘American Horror Stories,’ so she probably won’t be back either.
It could be argued that ‘plagues’, or something like that, were factored into Season 11 ‘AHS: NYC’ as well. Based on what’s left, Mermaids might be the way to go. Or maybe that murderous Santa from season two could come back down the chimney for another round of Christmas horror movies.
