to remember
It’s off to a strong start for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania! This third part matches the success of the previous operations: it starts a little less well than episode 2, but better than the first. In detail, the first started with 102,010 admissions in 2015 on its first day in France, the second with 158,825 admissions in 2018, and the third with 134,463 admissions this Wednesday, February 15, 2023.
A good start for the second in the rating as well, the comedy Happy Man, which is carried by two actors who are used to the French box office: Fabrice Luchin and Catherine Frot gathered about 40,000 curious people for this film directed by Tristan Segella. This is the best start of the director’s career, ahead of Doctor.
We should also mention the excellent performance of Kirill Serebrennikov’s new film: Tchaikovsky’s Wife is the director’s best start in France with 13,303 admissions, ahead of Leto (10,042 admissions in 2018). Tchaikovsky’s wife was in competition at Cannes in May 2022.
