On Friday, March 3, it all starts here…
Axel discovers the identity of his biological father
Even if it doesn’t make him happy, Teissier is still determined to resign and go to Lille because it’s the only way he can protect Axel. Constance is ready to follow him. Meanwhile, the couple agree not to say anything about Cardone’s blackmailing of Clotilda and Rose.
At the Institute, Teissier summons Cardone into his office to announce that he will accept his proposal. He is surprised but delighted. He actually hopes that his school will gain prestige.
Teissier then goes to the atelier to inform the Armand sisters of his decision. He claims he’s had a new bout of multiple sclerosis and says he’d rather stop working now. The director relies on their opinion.
In private, Clotilde confides her suspicions to Rose. He knows Teysier well enough to know that nothing will stop him from working. She suspects him of creating tension in the Armand clan.
Meanwhile, Axel ends up at CDI with Solal and Ethan. He continues to read a biography of Cardone written by his mother, whom he feels he recognizes by his writing style. Browsing the shelves, Ethan discovers a cookbook by Auguste Armand with a foreword by Lucy Clement. He immediately confides in his best friend, who upon opening it stumbles upon a dedication left by his mother: “My Augustus. Until this sunset that saw the birth of our love story. Yours Lucia, forever.“
While Clotilde and Jasmine present their creations around caviar in the atelier as part of the Festival du Goût, Axel arrives to confront Emmanuelle and Constance, book in hand. Emmanuel then ends up confessing the whole truth to him: he is indeed the son of Lucy and Auguste.
Shocked, Axel finds refuge with his lover, Ethan. Both support her and encourage her to talk to her adoptive parents to find out the whole story. But Axel feels betrayed by the lies of the people he considered his family. He says he doesn’t want to see the Teysiers anymore.
On the other hand, Philip and Lola are also surprised when they learn the identity of Axel’s father, which they did not know before. They accuse Emmanuel of keeping this information to himself all this time. At the same time, Jasmine calls Lola to tell her that Axel has gone where he was going and has no news…
Hortense takes on a personal challenge
Elliot joins Hortense at CDI to go over her list. In addition to many unfulfilled dreams, he notices that Hortense wants to take her license. A young girl admits that she is still afraid to drive a car, because she has already passed the test four times. But his friend urges him to return to her.
He takes her to the salt marshes and lets her practice in his car, controlling her driving. Thanks to him, Hortense gradually overcomes her fear and manages to drive. Very proud, he shows off his exploits to Mehdi, who congratulates him.
Later, Hortense tells Elliott that she plans to resume driving lessons. He feels that now it is his best friend’s turn to challenge. But Elliott hasn’t made a bucket list because all her dreams are already coming true: starting her own nomadic restaurant and marrying Greg. The only thing he thinks about, but is afraid of, is inviting his father to the wedding. Hortense thinks she should.
Amber and Kelly are in action
In Double A, Kelly opens things up with Tom and Lionel before the service to avoid the previous day’s pattern. That’s why the latter gives him his suggestions above the menu as well. Kelly doesn’t let that happen, reminding her that they aren’t there to make suggestions at any cost, but to carry out the prescriptions she entrusts. Witnessing the scene, Amber reminds Kelly of her idea for the Women’s Brigade.
After the service, two young girls talk about it with Theo. Despite his efforts to impose, Kelly suffers from the macho behavior of the boys in his brigade, with Tommy and Lionel leading the way. So he asks Theo to create an all-female brigade, just for one day, to prove to them that they can manage perfectly well without them. Theo agrees.
With the support of the Lystrak chef, Theo talks it over with Miriel to get her agreement as well. The latter hesitates a little, but is finally convinced.
So Theo heads into the Double A kitchens to announce that an all-female crew will be in charge for one day next week. Faced with outraged reactions from Lionel and Tom, Theo invites them to take the opportunity to reflect on the importance of respecting their superior, whether male or female. Before leaving, he adds that he is very satisfied with Kelly’s work and trusts her completely.
