Do you dare to enter? The Haunted Mansion is once again opening its doors to the big screen.
19 years after Rob Minkoff’s horror-comedy The Haunted Mansion and the 999 Ghosts, directed by Eddie Murphy, a new film about the famous Disney attraction will hit theaters this summer.
Directed by Justin Simien, to whom we dedicate the movie and TV series Dear White People, The Haunted Manor releases a trailer that is both funny and scary.
The feature film starring Rosario Dawson, Lakeith Stanfield, Owen Wilson, Danny DeVito, Tiffany Haddish, Jamie Lee Curtis, Chase W. Dillon and Jared Leto as The Hatbox Ghost, lephantom du Manoir, a feature film inspired by the mythical attraction.
We also see a famous scene in the trailer, the elevator that welcomes you into the ride and gives the illusion that the room is getting bigger.
The plot of the film tells the story of a mother and her nine-year-old son who move to a mansion in New Orleans. When they discover that the house is haunted, they hire a team of pseudo-experts to help them hunt down the various ghosts and apparitions that haunt their house.
Disneyland Parks attraction director Justin Simien says:Our team has worked tirelessly to create a scary, fun, and unusual cinematic adventure that new fans and die-hard rollercoaster fans alike will enjoy! We can’t wait for audiences to see this adaptation of the iconic Disney attraction.”
The Haunted Manor hits theaters July 26.
