This Saturday (4) the ceremony of the 38th Film Independent Spirit Awards took place, considered the “Oscars” of independent films, which reward the film All everywhere at the same time with the biggest award of the night, in one of the last big awards before the Oscar itself.
All everywhere at the same time, which garnered eight major nominations at the Santa Monica Pier ceremony in the US, also garnered wins for Michelle Yeoh, Ke Huy Quan and Stephanie Hsu in the inaugural Genre-Neutral Performance in Film and TV categories. The film also won for direction and screenplay by the Daniels and editing by Paul Rogers.
Thus, the film won seven out of eight contested nominations, with the only nomination not awarded in the Best Supporting Role category for Jamie Lee Curtis, award won by Ke Huy Quan, also for the film. Soon, the feature film won all the awards it played at the Spirit Awards.

The novelty of this edition were the gender-neutral categories, disputed between men and women, and no longer divided between actors and actresses. In four of the five categories, women won.
Among the 19 film and television categories up for grabs were three feature films that are also in the running for the Best Picture Oscar: All everywhere at the same time, tar AND Among women. tar won the award for best cinematography, while Among women was honored with the Robert Altman Award, given to a motion picture director, casting director and casting director.
