Rebel Wilson and Senior Year Actors Think About High School Moments They’d Make

A new Netflix comedy Last year Star/producer Rebel Wilson stars as a 37-year-old woman who wakes up from a 20-year coma when she goes straight back to high school to claim the crown of prom queen, preventing her from having fun during the day. The tragedy of the trick. The performance delivers excitement, laughter and boisterous dancing to Britney Spears’ pop hit “(You Drive Me) Crazy”. But it was the role played that the actors spoke about on Tuesday night ahead of a special screening at London’s West Hollywood Hotel. hollywood reporter Every actor in director Wilson and Alex Hardcastle’s film asked the same question: If you could go back to high school, what would you do differently?

rebellious wilson:: “I was coming back and trying to have a better fashion. I discovered fashion when I became an actress in Hollywood and it was just a few years after I was here, thanks to my amazing stylist Elizabeth Stewart. For example, tonight I wore Jason Wu, but he still wore men’s jeans in high school and had the worst hairstyle ever. I look at pictures from that time and I look so wild. I wish I could go back with the skills I have now. “But I went to an all-girls school, so it didn’t matter.”

Chris Parnell: “I wish I had more confidence in myself with girls. He would have done better if he hadn’t been so stubborn and vulnerable. He had a girlfriend, somehow, but there were a few girls who wondered if he wasn’t smart or cool enough to take advantage of the situation. I would repeat this if I could, but above all the school was wonderful. We had an excellent theater department and a great television department, I was very involved in all of that and I enjoyed it. I’m sure everyone thinks the same, but we have amazing products. The shows were really the best, to be honest.”

bye zoe“High school was painful, very uncomfortable, but it could have been worse. I went to Rhode Island High School, it’s a wonderful, beautiful school and my mother taught there and was my teacher. I loved it, but it was all very difficult, the hormones, the longing, everything. He wanted breasts, money and power, but he was only 16. Then I realized I didn’t. I really wanted these orange parachute pants from Express, they fit me so well. My mother didn’t accept them and, you know what, she encourages him. He really stood his ground on a lot of things. I won’t be going back for nothing, but if I do, I’ll try not to relieve stress, spend fewer nights and eat healthier.”

Brandon Scott Jones“If I could go back, I would take the lessons I learned from the kids I had the opportunity to work with on this film. they mean a lot to me [pauses as he gets teary and emotional]And I wish I were more like them. They are so confident and they really celebrate each other. They’re so happy for each other to go out and love each other so much that I don’t think he was available to me at the time. I was a wreck in high school. I had more friends on the school team than in my class because I was a weird kid and I loved talking to teachers and older people. They were fun and I always wanted to know about their dinner. The sad thing is, I was also a teenager with Scott Rudin when it came to my drama club, not abusively, but I drove with an iron fist and put my whole head into it.

miguel cimino“I could only go back to high school if I could go back. I never went to high school. I only went to online school when I was still an actor, so yeah, I was really happy to go to high school, especially my senior year, because from what I’ve heard, that’s the best part. You can go to the dance, relax and unwind more.”

Maria Holanda“In my freshman year of high school, I was suddenly very nervous about my popularity, and that’s what happens in this movie. I was really upset about it, so if I could go back, I would go to that girl and say, ‘You’re surrounded by true friends that you love so much.’ Don’t worry about others. Just worry about the moment when you’re with friends. And before you leave the house, mention the accessory. I went too far. I will also try to brush her hair, other things that will help her.”

Tyler Barnhardt“I have a lame answer because I truly believe my high school experience was all I needed at the time. It prepared me for college and prepared me to move here. I wouldn’t change a thing. Maybe I’m saying my life is going great right now, or maybe I’m naive, but I like my high school experience exactly the way it happened. I was a kid in the theater, I did morning commercials, I was that guy. I tried to please everyone and I wouldn’t change a thing.”

Molly Brown: “To be honest, I would become a fan. I think so. I thought about it in high school, but I didn’t. Also, I am very happy with the many decisions I made in high school. I wrote for the thinking section of the school paper, went through a lot of lessons I really wanted to do, and finished early. So if I could, I would go back to school, take advanced Spanish more seriously, and be a fan.

Adventure: “I was never a regular at the school so I missed the announcement about the launch in the brochure. Here, I literally lost and didn’t know it was coming. A week ago, everyone was saying, “Let’s all go to the dance,” but I already had plans to be somewhere else, so I couldn’t. So if I could go back, I would have a dance and also try to make more friends. My high school self was much more fascinating than my high school self, but I was more into it and tried harder to make friends. ”

Zaire Adams“This movie was my first high school experience because I went through an online school all through high school. I traveled a lot and worked as an actor and dancer. Last year It allowed me to experience what it was like to be on campus because we were entering a real school. I never had a prom or prom or anything like that, so I did a lot of stuff. I was too young and inexperienced to go back, I wouldn’t have that much confidence in people. I offered my kindness to many people who weren’t so welcoming and didn’t deserve it. “If I can go back, I can get it from some people.”

jade folder“I had a very interesting experience in high school because I missed two classes, so I was much younger than my peers. If I could go back and do something new, it would give me the tools to deal with that age difference a little bit better, because starting at 12 and high school was very wild and very intense. Also, I enjoyed my high school experience. ”

Joshua Cole“I was homeschooling so I really enjoyed doing prom night and all, but to be honest, I’m looking forward to graduating tonight. I was with Avantika, who is really my best friend, and we trained with her. We were literally on the stairs taking pictures of the prom so it feels like the closest thing to prom night to me. ”
