Set during the witch hunt in 1604, ramsey interprets Evelyn who falls in love with a childhood friend, a milkmaid named mary (Safia Oakley-Green). In addition to the horror elements, Evelyn needs to escape an arranged marriage made by her father, the minister. gilbert (Simon Balcon).
In an interview with PinkNews (via Them), the director said they made the film “because it’s so important to all queer people that we don’t forget our history. We have to learn lessons from the past to face the systemic prejudice that still surrounds us and fight for our future.”
