Ben Affleck says he wouldn’t direct anything for DC’s James Gunn

Actor Ben Affleck says he no longer wants to make films for the DC Cinematic Universe under the command of James Gunn and Peter Safran. The speech came in an interview with the Hollywood Reporter.

Ben Affleck, however, denied the possibility:

I would not drive something to [James] Gunn at DC. Absolutely not. I have nothing against James Gunn. Good boy, sure he’ll do a great job. I wouldn’t want to go in and drive the way they do. I am not interested.

In the interview, Ben Affleck said that stories like Justice League had become “repetitive” and “less interesting” to him. Despite this, the actor said he liked the result playing Batman in the DC films.

I finally figured out how to play that character [Batman] and I hit The flash . For the five minutes it’s there, it’s pretty awesome. A lot is just tone. You need to find out, what is your version of the person? Who’s the guy that fits what you can do? I tried to fit into a Batman. In fact, I really like what we’ve done, especially the first one.

Ben Affleck, who has directed and starred in films such as argon AND Girl gonehe gave his impressions of what went wrong Justice League:

You could have a seminar on all the reasons for this. From manufacturing to bad decisions and horrific personal tragedies, ending with the most monstrous taste in your mouth. The genius, and the bright side, is that Zack Snyder finally went to AT&T and said, “Look, I can give you four hours of content.” And it’s mostly slow motion that he shot in black and white.

Ben Affleck said he would direct a Batman movie, but the controversy after the release of Justice League made him give up:

Are out. I never want to do anything like that again. I’m not suitable. This was the worst experience I’ve ever seen in a company full of bad experiences. It broke my heart.
