Like My Son on TF1: The incredible true story that inspired Tomer Sisley’s TV movie

After Vortex and Balthazar, Tomer Sisley is back tonight on TF1 in Like my son, an unpublished fiction written by Edgar Marr, who notably worked on Braquo season 2. Inspired by the autobiographical novel L’enfant de la cavale written by Jean-Marie Drouet and Ludovic, this award-winning fiction at the 2022 Luchon Festival follows Victor (Tomer Sisley), a thug who takes in an abandoned little boy. under his wing.by his mother.

Between bank robberies, police threats, and the obligation to always be on the move, man and son learn to be father and son, to love each other and to be inseparable…

An incredible true story

So when my son adapts the touching story of Jean-Marie Drouet and Ludovic, which they told in the novel L’enfant de la cavale, published in 2018. Jean-Marie Drouet, who fell into crime as a child, spent half of his life in prison.

Her only pride is Ludovic, a two-year-old boy, the son of a young woman whom she adopted, but who left at night and left a note:I’m going, take care of Ludo“.

For three years, between 1982 and 1985, the gentle thug and the little boy live an immoral but irresistible life together, which they recount in the novel. Ludo would also later say of Jean Marie: “He is my real father. He took me in, he loved me, and he saved my early childhood years.

Unfortunately, the latter never left his criminal activities. When he is caught by the police, social services entrust the boy to his biological mother, who has since remarried. Then Ludovic finds himself in a family that doesn’t want him, and Jean-Marie falls into depression. After years apart, they are finally able to find each other.

For the purposes of the TV movie, Ludovic’s character, played by a young Jordan Delasus (and you, when is that?), was aged a few years to allow the screenwriters to write a conversation between the two characters. His name has also changed, the little boy is now called Charlie.

Find Like My Son this Monday 20th March from 9.10pm on TF1.
