The event affects more than 45,000 children and teenagers over eight years of competitions
The largest student multisport league in Brazil, Liga Esportiva Nescau has combined conventional and adapted modalities on the same days and venues to stimulate business growth and inclusion. Between 2015 and 2022, the chocolate brand invested around BRL 24 million in the project. Now it has renewed its commitment to the new generations, guaranteeing an investment of over R$ 15 million until 2025.
The Sports League, which is already a tradition in São Paulo, as well as the Summit, an event aimed at physical education professionals, is scheduled for September and October. However, the 2023 calendar has been in full swing since February, with activations in points of sale in dozens of cities across the country and which promise to remain operational until December, offering goal football, minigolf and other reduced versions of the sport to the public. . This is a way to present sport and its diversity to young Brazilians.
Another great novelty this year are the Mini Leagues, which will touch cities such as Araras, in the interior of São Paulo, Imperatriz, in Maranhão, and Recife, in Pernambuco. It is no coincidence that the municipalities of Maranhão and Pernambuco gave birth to 2 of the 12 Ambassadors of the event: Rayssa Leal and Etã Medeiro.
For the 2023 season, Liga Esportiva Nescau is committed to reaching over 35,000 people, ensuring over 52% female participation and the goal of bringing at least 7% children and adolescents with disabilities (a percentage that represents more than triple of the PWD share of this age group in the Brazilian population, according to the latest census).
In eight editions, the competition has already impacted the lives of over 45,000 children and adolescents aged 7 to 17, as well as 5,000 teachers, with the participation of around 1,500 institutions from every corner of the country. Last year alone, the initiative provided for 510 hours of sports practice, with 35 sports, including modalities, workshops and challenges.
