Vin Diesel says the ‘Fast & Furious’ saga will “really say goodbye” to Paul Walker’s character

“I can’t imagine this saga ending without actually saying goodbye to Brian O’Conner.”

Vin Diesel claims that the ‘Fast & Furious’ saga will share an emotional final farewell for Paul Walker’s character, Brian O’Conner.

As fans will remember, Walker died in a car accident in 2013., in the middle of filming ‘Fast & Furious 7’. However, the franchise did not kill off his character.

Instead, computer-generated imagery was used to complete the film, with Walker’s face superimposed on the bodies of his brothers, Cody and Caleb, during several scenes, to give Brian a farewell at the end.

It seems that now that the saga comes to an end, after 22 years of action movies, a tribute will be paid to the deceased actor.

Vin Diesel shared it like this with total films:”At that moment in 2013 when the world was coming to terms with his loss, the studio made a bold, fair and daring decision to keep Brian O’Conner alive.“.

I will say this without spoilers: I can’t imagine this saga ending without actually saying goodbye to Brian O’Conner“.

It is said that ‘Fast X’, the penultimate premiere of the saga, will set the bar very high, having confirmed that the film will end with a cliffhanger (hook). The director, Louis Leterrier, has also hinted that no one is safe anymore.

That’s the nice thing about being near the end of this franchise. I don’t have to say, ‘Oh well, these characters will live forever.’“, declared Leterrier to total films.

“No. They may not, because it’s the end. Only in westerns do cowboys gallop off into the sunset. This is different. There is some freedom to raise the stakes even higher than has been done before.”

‘Fast X’ opens in theaters on May 19.
