Actor Robert De Niro will star in a detective series in development at Paramount+. Written by Billy Ray, screenwriter of ‘The Hunger Games’ and Oscar nominee for ‘Captain Phillips’, the series is called ‘Bobby Meritorious’ and was acquired by Paramount after fierce competition for the project.

The series marks De Niro’s second television project. Last month, the star signed a deal with Netflix to star in the miniseries ‘Zero Day,’ where she will play a former US president.

De Niro and Billy Ray also executive produce Bobby Meritorious.

With multiple film projects under his belt, De Niro will soon be seen doubling down on Barry Levinson’s (“Rain Man”) drama “Wise Guys,” where he’ll play two rival mid-20th-century mobsters who vie for control of organized organizations. crime in the United States.
