The ending of ‘Young Sheldon’ brings back two familiar faces from ‘Big Bang Theory’

Meet ‘Acne and Pus’. Yes, you read correctly.

‘Young Sheldon’ will welcome two stars from ‘The Big Bang Theory’ on a different paper.

Spin-off/prequel focusing on young Sheldon Cooper will see the wizard duo Penn and Teller as guest stars in an upcoming episode, where they will play the dermatological duo’Acne and Pus‘ (you can preview it via TVLine).

Teller had previously appeared on ‘Big Bang Theory’ as Amy Farrah Fowler’s (Mayim Bialik) father, and thus Sheldon’s (Jim Parsons) father-in-law.

In an episode aptly titled ‘A clogged pore, a little Spanish and the future‘, Sheldon (Iain Armitage), aged 12, will have to go through puberty and all that comes with it, including pimples.

When he has his first pimple (a puberty milestone, so to speak), the protagonist will get the puberty summary of Penn and Teller as Acne and his silent partner Pusrespectively.

“We thought it was a fun idea to personify the pimple, so we were thinking about who would be the right one for acne vulgaris,” said series co-creator Steve Molar.

“When we approached Penn, he seemed so perfect… And it’s hard not to think of Teller when you think of Penn. Once Penn agreed to do it, we turned around to say, ‘How would you feel if we did it together as Acne and Pus?‘ They were very into it, and it was a pleasure working with them from start to finish,” he added.
