Donna dies in a sledging accident in a park within SP

A 41-year-old woman died after falling from a sled in a ski park in São Roque (SP). The toboggan accident occurred around noon this Saturday (08).




According to the Civil Police, the victim, whose name has not been revealed, was getting off the sled when he hit a railing. The Military Police confirmed that they witnessed an accident with death on the spot. She was with her 7 year old son. The child has not died, but his state of health has not yet been disclosed.

According to residents who were in the park, a woman was descending on the toy with her child on her lap when, at the end of the descent, the two were thrown by crashing into a guardrail.

The park employees themselves helped the mother and son by taking them to the Santa Casa de São Roque, but the woman could not resist the wounds and died.

The scientific police were in the park this Saturday afternoon to carry out all the reports, and the case will be investigated by the Civil Police. Following the incident, Ski Mountain Park announced on social media that it will be closed this Easter weekend. The city of São Roque is 70 kilometers from the capital São Paulo and the average journey time is about 1 hour.

The Ski Park is a tourist spot in São Roque and offers activities such as a ski slope, tree climbing, tobogganing, cable car, climbing tower, among others. On social media, the park has published a post in which it is said only that the establishment will be closed “for mourning”.
