Marvel: Horror Star joins Blade to fight vampires

Expected to hit theaters on September 4, 2024, Blade continues to expand its cast. We already know that Mahershala Ali will play the superhero alongside Delroy Lindo and Aaron Pierre.

On April 12, St. Deadline announced a new recruit to the Marvel Universe: Mia Goth. Lars Von Trier revealed in Nymphomania, the 29-year-old actress then excelled in A Cure For Life, Suspiria or Emma.

More recently, she headlined the horror films X and Pearl, horror flicks directed by Ti West.

Mia Goth plays both Maxine, a young Texan cocaine addict who aspires to be a star, and Pearl, a very old woman who welcomes the film crew of a pornographic farmer’s daughter.

The British actress is unrecognizable under make-up and prosthetics for the occasion. He also learned to master the character’s gestures and was trained to change his voice.

No further information has been given regarding his role in Blade. As a reminder, the director of the feature film will be the Frenchman Jan Demaje (’71, Undercover).

Adapted from Marv Wolfman and Gene Colan’s comic book, the film will conclude Phase 5 of the MCU after Captain America 4 and Thunderbolts.

Note that the first Blade trilogy starring Wesley Snipes earned more than $400 million at the worldwide box office.
