Survivor Ken: How does this ultra-violent anime end?

“Ken (Ken), survivor of hell, Ken (Ken) often crosses his swords!” A credit that reminds many of the memories and hours spent in front of a special VF to discover the story of Hokuto’s heiress, Ken (Shiro). Adapted from manga Hokuto not Ken Signed by Burronson and Tetsuo Hara, the series has 109 episodes for its first run. A sequel, Hokuto no Ken 2, has been released.

Ken’s survivor action unfolds in the near future. The world was destroyed by a titanic atomic explosion and only a few scattered groups manage to survive in a dark and desert world.

We are going to follow here the end of the first series that we think of when we talk about Ken Survivor. It has a special ending in episode 108 rather than 109, which is dedicated to the history of the Hokuto school and summarizes part of the series with images already seen during the season.

The last narrative episode, 108, is entitled “Farewell to two Hokuto brothers. At the height of love and sorrow.” Here is a detailed summary:

Ken and Raul (in RAO VO) are already fighting for 2 episodes. This battle made them very weak and each has bloody wounds on the body. Kenny tells his opponent that he is going to give him the final blow, which will be fatal for him. He manages to injure Raul in the chest, a horrible blow that spills his blood.

Raul does not understand his defeat as he puts “all his strength” into his blow, but Ken explains to him that his heart is empty and that emotions are his best ally during the fight. However, Ken takes his feelings while Raul denies them, which explains his victory.

Raul threw Dem Julia (Yuria VO) in a near-death condition to stop his illness. But Lynn tears up when she sees the quarrel between Raul and Ken start again, falling on Julia, which brings her back to life.

Both Ken and Raul are descendants of the Hokuto school, but can only be one. Rao understands that Ken stands above him and admits his defeat, though he says he has no regrets about past actions.

He travels to heaven and reunites with his dead brother, Toki. Raul, who handed over part of his aura to Julia, weakened, and without this gesture, Ken might have lost the fight. Light returns to the universe, ending nuclear winter.

Ken becomes Hokuto’s successor and goes on his back with Julia Kokuo dark horse. Bart and Lynn, who promised not to follow them, stayed and hoped that one day Ken would return to see them.

Ken Survivor has been broadcasting on TF1 as part of Club Dorothée since 1988. Many viewers did not have access to the end of the series because after the airing of the 84th episode, Le Plan de Raoul, the series was censored in France. It is currently fully available on the platform in VOST and VF DNA.
