In a dystopian future (2071) ravaged by air pollution, the survival of humanity depends on atypical births called “dark knights”. That’s the synopsis for The Dark Knight, Netflix’s new production, revealed in a particularly effective teaser. As we know, South Koreans are especially talented when it comes to genre series, and this latest one will especially appeal to subscribers.
Black Knight is an adaptation of a webtoon called Delivery Knight, written by Lee Yoon-kyun. Kim Woo-bin (Alienoid) descends in a 5-8 man black suit, one of the oxygen suppliers who stands out from the rest with his fighting skills.
If the trailer only shows us the post-apocalyptic aspect – with rather polished scenery – the series should also give us its share of action. It’s impossible not to think about Mad Max with his plans in the desert. The world is also deprived of the necessary reserve, which drives the population mercilessly to war.
Did the first images of The Black Knight inspire you? So the appointment is May 12th on Netflix.
