The protagonists of ‘Ghosted’ Ana de Armas and Chris Evans meet on the most famous stairs of North American cinema, with the permission of those of ‘Joker’ and those of ‘John Wick 4’.
If you wanted to see Ana de Armas and Chris Evans together on screen again After the first installment of ‘Puñales por el espalda’ and ‘El agente invisible’, you’re in luck. The protagonist of ‘Ballerina’, the next spin-off of ‘John Wick’, and the first Captain America of Marvel’s UCM will live a romantic international action thriller in ‘Ghosted’.
The Apple TV+ movie will premiere on April 21 (right now) and the ad campaign is going full steam ahead with daily promotional content on social media. One of these clips that is giving us the first glimpses of the couple in action has been revealed by RottenTomatoes, and it shows us Ana de Armas and Chris Evans challenging each other to a race in some stairs that are very, very familiar to us.

The location of this scene is in the historic neighborhood of Georgetown, in Washington DC, specifically at the corner between Prospect St NW and 36th St NW. We are talking about the famous stairs of ‘The Exorcist’a tourist attraction in the city at the height of the Capitol or the White House, and surely the most iconic stairs in cinema along with those of ‘Battleship Potemkin’, ‘Joker’, ‘Rocky’ and, more recently, those of ‘John Wick 4’.
Directed by Dexter Fletcher (‘Rocketman’), ‘Ghosted’ will tell us the story of Cole (Evans), hopelessly in love at first sight after having a date with Sadie (De Armas). However, she doesn’t answer his messages (a ghosting from manual), but he is convinced that they are destined to be together. So he takes a sudden trip to London as a romantic gesture. But this trip will discover the reasons why Sadie has disappeared without a trace: she’s a CIA spy.
Despite its spectacular cast, the truth is that the promotional images of the tape are having a regular reception in networks. The comments on Twitter highlight how “pastelly absurd” the scene on the stairs is (it’s a romantic comedy, let’s see…), Ana de Armas’ “horrifying wig” “in the style of ‘M3GAN'” and, of course, above all, how boring it is to check in some images that the actors were not together on set in some of the sequences. I mean, take a look at the following snapshot from the movie, and draw the conclusions for yourself…
