76 years old but unstoppable: Sylvester Stallone signs new project with Prime Video

A week after its announcement Contract signed with Amazon Prime VideoSylvester Stallone reveals his next project. The 76-year-old actor, through his company Balboa Productions, will produce and star in Never Too Old to Live, an action comedy in which he plays a former spy. When one of his friends is murdered in a nursing home, a Cold War hero will do whatever it takes to find the killer hiding from his family.

There’s no name on the project yet – an actor or a director – and we’ll have to wait a while before we see Never Too Old to Live in a small window. But this project is the first in a long list of movies and series with Sly that we’ll see on Prime Video. The streaming platform does have the right to see its Balboa box office plays in which the actor could write, produce and/or star.

This deal confirms the fact that the former Rock has no plans to end his career anytime soon, and that he has real appeal for streaming platforms, as evidenced by his previous roles. We recently saw the Italian Stallion in the Tulsa King Mafia series for Paramount + – a format he’s struggling to shoot – and a few months earlier in The Samaritan, still for Prime Video.

But rest assured, Sly is not leaving cinema. We’ll find him in theaters on May 3rd in Guardians of the Galaxy 3, then on October 11th in The Expendables 4.
