Tomorrow Is Ours: Luvia Bachelier Reveals ‘Things Will Happen to Manon’

Allocine: At the beginning of the adventure Tomorrow belongs to usWhat did you like about the role of Manon?

Luvia Bachelier: Many things. Its spontaneity already. I also really like his ability to get involved in things that don’t concern him. He is very curious. He wants to know everything and solve everything himself. And then, Manon is very independent. That’s what I like about it

How do you see the evolution of your character since coming to the series?

I think it developed very quickly. True, at first nothing much happened to him. He was a little on the side, shall we say. With the arrival of Nordin (Youssef Agal), he progressed very quickly. His internship at the police station allowed him to get to know him better. She came out of adolescence and became more feminine. He takes responsibility very quickly. Even in the family, he asserts himself much more. Honestly, it’s pretty cool.

Manon recently had a dramatic arc regarding the choice of Martin. What do you remember about this intrigue?

The sections we shot were really cool. It was a bit out of our daily routine. I didn’t think I would have such a sequence, so I was very happy.

How was your reunion? Xavier WidhoffJules’ translator?

Shortly before filming, I heard that Xavier Wiedhoff was coming back. I was very happy because when he was on the show, we didn’t have many scenes together. And I believe we never toured together. I was just doing extra in class and he was there. So it was very interesting to work with him.

Manon has just joined the police force. How will his first steps as a peacemaker go?

It’s quite recent. I haven’t had any real shots at the police station yet. I had a few with Yusef, but that’s it. It is possible that we will investigate Manon, but it is too early to tell. Either way, Manon can solve the case.

Manon will work with Nordin on a daily basis. Is tension expected?

Yes! They are going to go through issues that are sure to cause tension. It never goes well in this series (laughs). There will be tension. On the other hand, in the police station, I don’t know yet.

There’s an unexpected friendship that we absolutely love, that of Manon and Charlie (Clemens Lassalas). Will they collaborate more together in the future?

It is possible that this friendship will develop in the future. They became very close last summer due to Manon’s affair with Nordin. What is happening is that it is very likely that we will repeat sequences together. And then it is true that the Manon-Charlie duet works very well. He is awesome Clemens.

Manon is a character we mostly meet with Nordin and his family circle. Could Manon make new friends by entering the police station? And if so, who can approach?

Yes, it’s possible, especially with Sarah (Camille Genau) or even Damien (Adrien Robb). Besides, during his internship at the police station, he was too close to her to keep things fresh between them.

Manon and Nordin make perfect love. What can we expect from the couple in the coming weeks?

Something will happen that doesn’t directly affect them, but will still affect them. But otherwise, there is always a lot of love between them. Nothing special is planned at the moment.

The arch on the pink car was very funny. It must be said that the comic dynamics between Manon, Nordin, Aurore (Julie Debazak) and William (Kamel Belghazi) is really great. Will we see more scenes like this in the future?

Yes! Comedy works really well between the four of us. We are having a lot of fun on the set and the result is great. It’s true that each of us brings our own little bit of comedy and that’s much appreciated, both by us and by the community. There will surely be other sequels in this style in the future.

In general, what awaits Manon in the sequel to Tomorrow Belongs to Us? Can we hope for an arch centered on it?

It won’t be primarily focused on Manon, but it will influence her. I can’t talk too much about it yet, but I can tell you that things are going to happen for Manon.

Do you have any other projects coming up for us tomorrow that you can tell us about?

I was cast in a French TV single called Mort sur la piste. It is directed by Philippe Dajou. I’m very happy !
