Danny Boone’s new film Halftone begins. Comedy life in reality Arriving mainly as the lead, but with a much lower score than his previous feature films as a director and screenwriter. You have to go back to 2006 and his first film La Maison du bonheur (with 36,962 on its first day) to find a lower result than La Vie pour de vrai. Life for Real had 80,254 admissions (half of which were previews). “Note that this is the 8th opening of the year for a French film, including previews, behind Mon crime, which managed to get over a million“, as our colleagues Boxoffice Pro.

Evil Dead Rise Coming in second place are nearly 40,000 horror movie fans (including 13,000 in previews). This is the second best run for a horror film in 2023, behind Scream 6.

At number 3, Nicolas Philibert reaches the 2nd best status in his filmography after the surprise hit Etre et avoir. Documentary on adamantThe Golden Bear brings together 7,422 curious people in Berlin. This is better than La Maison de la radio, his 3rd best score to date.
