The third part of “Lupine” has a premiere date on Netflix

Fans waiting for part 3 of “Lupine” finally got an answer about the release date of the new chapters. After throwing a riddle on social media, Netflix released the premiere of the French series which is enjoying worldwide audience success: on October 5th. Part 1 is the 9th most watched non-English language production on the platform.

The series is a contemporary adaptation of novels written by Frenchman Maurice LeBlanc, who created the character Arsène Lupi in 1905. The books have been adapted into dozens of TV series and films over the years.

Played by Omar Sy (“The Untouchables”), the attraction accompanies Assane Diop, a professional thief son of a Senegalese immigrant, who was looking for a better life in France. Assane’s father is accused of stealing a diamond necklace from his employer, the rich and powerful Hubert Pellegrini, and hangs himself in his cell in shame, leaving the teenage Assane an orphan. 25 years later, inspired by a book about the famous thief Arsène Lupine, Assane decides to take revenge on the Pellegrini family, using her charisma and his mastery of theft and disguise to expose Hubert’s crimes.

In Part 3, now in hiding, Assane must learn to live apart from his wife and child. With the suffering caused by his absence, he decides to return to Paris to make a proposal to his family: leave France and start a new life elsewhere. But the ghosts of the past are lurking and an unexpected return could change their plans.

“Lupin” also stars Ludivine Sagnier (“Peter Pan”), Antoine Gouy (“Family of Two”, Soufiane Guerrab (“Asphalt of Blood”) and Shirine Boutella (“Papicha”).
