Night Agent Season 2: Bad news for fans, and it’s for the series’ best character…

SPOILER ALERT! This article will reveal the main elements of Season 1 of Night Agent.

Bad news for Night Agent fans… Shawn Ryan, showrunner of the series, has revealed that the lead character from Season 1 of the action-thriller – which ranked fourth on Netflix’s top series a month after its release – may not return for Season 2.

Season 1 of Night Agent follows Peter Sutherland (Gabriel Basso), an FBI agent who learns that Khali has infiltrated the highest levels of the US government. During the investigation, he is assisted by Diane Farr (Hong Chow), the White House chief of staff, until it is discovered that she is Molly.

he asked TVLine On the return of Diane in the second season of Night Agent, Sean Ryan explains that it is unlikely that she will appear. He gives us his vision of what the series will become in Season 2 and beyond, which could close the door on the return of other characters:

I don’t think you can say that without risk. I thought we told a pretty complete story with Diane Farr in Season 1. Hong will definitely have all kinds of job opportunities, so I’m not sure what his availability will be.

But what I told Netflix before was that it would be different stories, often in different locations, and a lot of characters wouldn’t cross over from season to season.

Who will be back for season two?

At the end of Season 1, Diane was imprisoned for her crimes, ending her character’s journey. Peter and his partner, Rose Larkin (Lucian Buchanan), begin a relationship, and Peter becomes an official member of the Night Agent program. The end of the story hints at the possibility of new missions involving Peter, but seems to end Diana’s role as an antagonist.

Sean Ryan’s comment that several characters from Season 1 will appear in Season 2 is causing trouble for major characters like Peter and Rose.

While Season 2 may follow Peter on a new mission, it’s just as likely that Night Agent will become an anthology series with different storylines set in the same universe. While the Season 1 characters may return in the future, they may not have as big of a role as when they were introduced…

Night Agent is currently available on Netflix.
