Among the many superheroes that inhabit the Marvel Universe, it was Iron Man who had the privilege of opening a page in 2008 in what is now commonly known as the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe), starring Robert Downey Jr. and John. Favreau is the director.
In the first part of his adventure, billionaire inventor Tony Stark finds himself kidnapped by terrorists in Afghanistan. Thanks to his ingenuity and the help of Professor Insen, he manages to escape by making a primitive armor, which he decides to perfect after returning to the United States. He will also face off against Obadiah Stane, aka the Iron Monger.
In the next film, he will have to fight a new enemy, Ivan Vanko, who has developed his own armor and is seeking revenge on the Stark family. At the same time, the hero must deal with personal problems and life stakes when he discovers that his health is deteriorating due to the damage caused by the use of the armor.
The third and final installment of the franchise features a mysterious new character, The Mandarin, a British terrorist with an interest in Chinese culture who is determined to challenge the US government in a series of attacks.
So Iron Man decides to put an end to his actions, and when he finally manages to find him, he discovers that this dangerous terrorist is actually just a drug-addicted British actor, a mere toy in the hands of the real villain: Doctor Aldrich Killian.
