What would our childhood cartoons look like if they were live action? the artificial intelligence replied

There are cartoon characters that live in the memories of millions of people because they were a part of their childhood and with that thought in mind, one woman on Instagram decided to bring them back, now in live action.

Artificial Intelligence Creates Lifelike Selfie-Taking Cartoon Characters

This is the user Gaby Castellanos, who started using it last February Midjourney Artificial Intelligence Program to create amazing images from some cartoon selfies.

“We go back to our childhood (for some more recent and for others a leap into the past) to remember those animated series that entertained us for so long on TV and that still manage to captivate us, regardless of the type of screen. ”, was the description of one of his posts.

To give it a more interesting twist, the young woman asked the AI to create these portraits, but with specific scenarios. For example, instead of asking him to show only the hyper-realistic version of Goku, he indicated that he wanted to see him in his young version and take a picture before the full moon, that is, before he transformed into a giant ape just like in the anime.

So, on his Instagram posts, he started sharing the results, which earned him thousands of new fans. In keeping with the anime theme, the content creator also had the AI create a realistic version of Heidi in a fuzzy dress so she can walk through the Alps before meeting her best friend Pedro.

An example that ended up resembling the cartoon was Carlitos, the red-haired boy from “Rugrats,” who according to the description took a picture of himself before realizing that clowns shouldn’t be feared.

Some of the weirder results were Candy Candy and Terry showing up after picking flowers, Pucca looking for her lover Garu, and He-Man seeing what her hair looked like before she got a makeover.

An interesting thing about all the images is that despite the fact that the characters are in the foreground, the background always changes thanks to the descriptions and perfectly matches the personality of each of them.

Netizens have made sure to show their appreciation for Gaby Castellanos’ idea and each time they leave more comments congratulating her on her content.

“Got back to childhood. Loved it all. He-man’s cut was like Christopher Columbus’s”, “These creations are the best. So great”, “I felt like a kid again watching this”, “You have great work for me bringing to a fantasy world only your ideas. Thanks, I enjoyed it”, “I loved Heidi, she has a very innocent face”, or “Goku’s version is quite acceptable, I approve”, is how the same for that.

So far, the Instagram user has 5 series of photos on her profile, and in the most recent one posted on April 24, in addition to the funny photo of Fred Flintstone with his pet Dino, she also added two characters that were part of the cartoons that were shown on MTV in the 90s, namely Daria Morgendorffer and Kenny McCormick.

The teenager with low self-esteem turns out to be the one most similar to the original design with her half smile, glasses, loose hair and brown shirt.

On the other hand, it also showed a pretty interesting vision of Kenny, as according to the description provided to the AI he has a grim face in his portrait after having a bullied childhood and a traumatic teenage life.

Unlike the cartoon, here Kenny shows his face and doesn’t hide it with his huge orange jacket to protect himself from the cold of South Park town.
