In June 2021, Netflix subscribers were introduced to Gus (Christian Conover), a half-doll, half-human young boy. Nicknamed Sweet Tooth because of his attraction to sweet things, he embarks on a fantastical adventure alongside Jeopardy (Arasoci Anoz) after his father’s death. In a world destroyed by a terrible virus, they are trying to escape from it.
Gus has only one thing on his mind: finding his mother, Bird. He discovers during his journey that he was created in a laboratory like many child-hybrids… The little boy does not have time to waste this information that he has been captured by the terrible General Abbot (Neil Sandilands). Jeppard is shot by the soldiers and left for dead… that’s how the first season ended.
Netflix is releasing Sweet Tooth Season 2 this April 27th, and it promises to be explosive if the trailer is to be believed. Gus, still locked away, will be surrounded by other hybrid children to lead the rebellion. But General Abbott, who learned that these little darlings were the secret to eradicating the H5G9 virus, intends to keep them at hand. The latter wants to have the power and decide who will survive.
Meanwhile, Jeopardy – still alive – will try to find Gus and the other kids thanks to Aimee (Dania Ramirez). They will most likely be able to count on the help of the still living Bird, who learned that his son was looking for him. Fans are waiting for only one thing: a reunion between the two characters.
These new episodes should tell us more about the H5G9 virus and why the hybrid children were created and how they can help save the world.
