A man was sentenced to death in WE for beating his wife to death with a baseball bat and killing their four children, two stepchildren and two biological children. Michael Wayne Jones JrAged 41, he pleaded guilty to all counts of murder.
According to the newspaper daily mirror, Police officers went to the family home in September 2019 to carry out a welfare check on the woman and children after the mother of Casey Jones, Nikki Jonesshe was worried about not hearing from her daughter and grandchildren.
Upon entering the site, they “detected the fetid odor of decomposition”. The suspect was arrested and later revealed the whereabouts of his wife’s and children’s bodies; Aiyana, 1 year; Mercalli Jones, 2; Preston, 5; and Cameron Bowers, 10.
Florida Marion County Courthouse Judge Anthony Tatti was also sentenced on Friday Jones to life without the possibility of parole for Casey’s murder. After a nine-minute hearing on Friday, attorneys representing Jones said they have already filed documents with the court to appeal the ruling.
