After the ‘Harry Potter’ series, this other famous film saga will also become a television series

A few weeks ago, hehe news about the production of a new television series that would cover the ‘Harry Potter’ novels was flooding the networks and the media. Followers of the mythical wizarding world created by JK Rowling faced a dilemma: Is it necessary to revisit something that has already been widely accepted?Is it possible to improve what already exists, based on delving into the immense universe of the British author?

With all the commotion another ad with similar characteristics went a little more unnoticed. At the end of April, it was announced that the Twilight Saga’the novels by Stephenie Meyer that saw their film version succeed all over the world in the last decade, it was also going to be re-adapted into a television series format.

What’s going on? Why are projects that have already been so successful internationally being revisited?

We have recently witnessed another of these examples. At the end of last year, The series format remake of ‘Interview with the Vampire’ came through AMC+where the Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt classic was brought back, with a more contemporary perspective of the story.

In the case of ‘Twilight’, information about the project is still scarce. Despite the fact that Lionsgate Television has confirmed its development, it has not been shared on which platform or television channel it will be broadcast.nor which actors will give life to the mythical group of characters.

Only the producers in charge of the project are known: Wick Godfrey and Erik Feig. In addition, Meyer is expected to join the project and collaborate in some way in the creative development of it.

Is it possible to imagine Bella Swan without the face of Kristen Stewart? And Edward Cullen without Robert Pattinson’s face? Not to mention the rest of the unmistakable characters that have already taken over the faces of their interpreters…

The love story between the human and the vampire seduced the youth of the whole world (and the occasional older viewer who hid being a faithful fan of the franchise…). More than 3000 million dollars were collected at the box office, can the success of one of the highest grossing sagas in history be surpassed?

The fans created factions: Team Edward and Team Jacob. This division fueled fanaticism and the desire for each premiere to reach theaters.

For this reason, the task that these new interpreters will have to carry out to fill the positions that Stewart, Pattinson and Lautner have vacated will be arduous. Let’s hope that something from the past encourages his followers to consume this new project.
