Looking to show that last season was not atypical, Carrancas FA is strengthening for the dispute in the Northeast Conference of the Brazilian League of American Football (Liga BFA) and has agreed the return of North American linebacker Steffon Canady, one of the highlights of the team in the latest edition. The 25-year-old has helped the side in the surprising campaign that lifted the team from within Pernambuco to third place in the regional dispute.
On the Carrancas FA social networks, Steffon Canady left a message for the fans: ‘Hey Carrancas FA fans. I am thrilled to announce that I will be returning for another season. I can’t wait to be with the guys again and finish what we started. Going back to where I never left,’ said the American.

This season, Carrancas FA is one of 11 northeastern teams that will try to end João Pessoa Espectros’ hegemony in the Northeast Conference of the BFA League. The Paraiba team has won the last 11 editions of the tournament.
With Liga BFA’s Northeast Conference debut scheduled for July, Carrancas FA is preparing for the competition and training three times a week.
