Samuel L. Jackson reveals the reason for his great anger with Marvel

The actor who gives life to Nick Fury would be upset from ‘Captain America: Civil War’

Despite the fact that we are in the middle of Phase 5 of Marvel with the recent premiere of ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’, it is never too late to look back and return to the long-awaited Phase 3. Therefore, Samuel L Jackson has admitted that was so confused like everyone else On Why Nick Fury Wasn’t In ‘Captain America: Civil War’one of the best Marvel movies.

Despite being at the center of the MCU, the SHIELD director did not appear in the 2016 film.

Talking with ‘Empire’ about his absence, Jackson said: “I was trying to find out where was he during ‘Civil War’, when the boys were fighting and i wasn’t there to say: “Everyone to your room””.

As for his absence for most of ‘Avengers: Endgame,’ the star added: “Where was I during Endgame? It’s harder for me not to be there than to be there.”.

The star previously addressed his absence from Civil War, telling the podcast ‘Happy Sad Confused’: “Has Fury been used wisely? Yes, except in things like ‘Civil War'”.

“If all the Avengers are fucking fighting each other, where’s their guardian? Where’s that guy who comes along and says ‘Okay, everyone go to your rooms. I’ll come talk to you in a minute’?”

“It’s either the guy that put them together and it’s the glue or it’s not. So I felt a way about it.”

Speaking to ‘LA Times’ in 2016, co-writer Christopher Markus explained his decision not to include Fury: “First of all, it seemed to us that there were too many possible opinions. We did not want him to take sides with one side or the other, because that is not his place in the universe.”

“And we didn’t want another one either: ‘Are you still with the government? Are you opposed to the government but do you support it?’ It led to a much more contentious debate for which the movie had no space“.

“He’s the guy who’s put it all together. He’s been kind of a father figure to the Avengers. Let’s let the father go and see if the boys can handle this.. See if kids can be who they’re supposed to be without that ruling voice. And they didn’t do a good job.”

Hopefully, fans will get a lot more of Fury in the new series of Disney+titled ‘Secret invasion’which will be released The 21st of June.
