Voting took place on Thursday the 18th
The majority of ministers of the Supreme Federal Court (STF) voted in favor of the conviction of Fernando Collor for passive corruption and money laundering, this Thursday 18. So far, seven ministers have positioned themselves in favor of action against the former president.
Judges Edson Fachin, Alexandre de Moraes, André Mendonça, Roberto Barroso, Luiz Fux and Carmém Lúcia voted in favor of sentencing. Minister Nunes Marques was the only one to take sides in favor of Collor’s acquittal.
Judges Dias Toffoli, Gilmar Mendes and the president of the STF, Rosa Weber, have not yet voted.
