Fast and Furious 10: Two actors from the film played the role of Aquaman

What is it about? After many missions and against all odds, Dom Toretto and his family were able to outrun, outrun, outrun and outrun all opponents who crossed their path. The beginning of the end

Fast & Furious X was originally announced as the final installment in the saga that Vin Diesel has been leading since 2001. This is the first part of a trilogy that concludes the adventures of Dom and his gang.

Diesel, who is also the producer of the franchise, does not believe in the longevity and success of the latter: “If you had told me 23 years ago that I would have the opportunity to star in an internationally successful anthology film series that spanned more than 20 years… I would have thought you were crazy. When we started, we shot it. In Los Angeles, with a script adapted from this city and its community . We never imagined it could engage audiences internationally, or even worldwide. Let alone export our family’s vision there.”

After filming episodes 5, 6, and 9, Justin Lin was originally slated to direct the saga’s tenth episode. But he left the shoot on April 27, 2022, before Louis Leterrier took over five days later. The Frenchman had already been approached by Universal to direct films in the franchise, but he wasn’t ready yet: “It’s incredible. It’s a founding saga. It’s been 20 years that the audience has grown with the characters. So it’s scary… But with my wife’s push, I finally agreed. Everyone treated me like a family member and the end of the second take was my film. I I was very well surrounded.” He had to rewrite the script in 4 days before flying to London to shoot.

A legend in the cast

Abuelita, the grandmother of Dom, Mia and Jacob, is played by legendary Oscar-winning actress Rita Moreno for West Side Story. For Michel Rodríguez, his arrival in the franchise is not insignificant for the Spanish community: “A lot of our fans are Latino. To bring this brilliant actor, this legend of cinema, is a tribute to this community. He’s so great, he knew how to push boundaries in a time when white people dominated the industry, without cinema. And he’s an actor we’re very proud of.” .

Fast & Furious X features a fight scene between Cypher (Charlize Theron) and Letty (Michelle Rodriguez). This came out of intensive training for Dungeons and Dragons: “We had a 1/2″ safety line. We were very interested in testing our limits and seeing how far we could go. Charlize is a real monster, if I may say so, she has very sharp elbows and she is a real professional. She never loses her composure. And he never misses a beat, which is why I love him. He doesn’t hesitate to get down and bang his skull against the wall. We make the perfect tandem because I’m like him, I don’t hesitate, I go all out.”

Undeterred, Theron was preparing for The Old Guard 2, which allowed her to get more practice for the fight scenes and stunts in the film: “I trained for 7 weeks in Los Angeles before Fast & Furious X, so the stunt team sent me a lot of stuff to practice ahead of time.” He believes that the team has a responsibility to show violence: “For me, fight scenes are very important and I find it very disrespectful to choreograph fights without taking into account the specifics of women and especially without showing the results.
