Are you the biggest fan of Tom Cruise? It’s time to prove it with our quiz focused on the names of its mythical characters.

Tom Cruise is back in theaters with Top Gun Maverick, a sequel to the 1986 cult film! This is an opportunity to delve into its rich filmography.

Only the biggest fans of the actress will remember the names of her characters in this selection of landmark roles. Can you handle the challenge?

Directed by Joseph Kosinski, Top Gun Maverick continues to follow Tom Cruise’s famous pilot camp. After being one of the best fighter pilots in the United States Navy for more than thirty years, Pete Maverick Mitchell continues to cross its borders as a test pilot.

He refuses to raise the rank because it forces him to refuse to fly. He is tasked with preparing a squad of young Top Gun School alumni for a special mission that no pilot could ever have imagined.

On this mission, Maverick meets the son of Lieutenant Bradley “Mali” Bradshaw, the son of his late friend, navigator Nick “Butt” Bradshaw. Faced with an uncertain future, haunted by his ghosts, Maverick will have to face the most horrible nightmares during a mission that requires the greatest sacrifice.

The idea for Top Gun 2 comes vaguely in late 2010, but without Tom Cruise. Two years later, Paramount president Adam Goodman confirms that this sequel will be with the actor, but also with the return of Tony Scott in the production and Jerry Bruckheimer in the production.

The firm is urging Peter Craig to write the script. But in the same year, Scott’s suicide puts the project in question. In 2014, a well-known producer announced that this second opus was about the evolution of the modern world:

“Pilots are obsolete because of drones. Tom Cruise is going to show them that they are not outdated. They stayed here. The following year everything is realized: Justin Marx was hired to write the script to continue what Craig started.

In July of the same year, Tom Cruise mentioned the project and said he wanted to limit the digital effects … In 2017, the actor confirmed this sequel. Shortly afterwards, Joseph Kosinski (Tron Legacy) was chosen to direct.

In 2018, Val Kilmer confirms his return. Miles Teller is then cast as Bradley Bradshaw, the son of Goose Bradshaw, played by Anthony Edwards in the first part. After the film was postponed for a year, Cruise wanted to learn to fly a fighter jet before filming could begin!
