Warning, the following article contains Fast and Furious 10 spoilers. If you haven’t seen the movie, go ahead.
As we know, the Fast and Furious saga is not concerned with logic or physics at all. Thus, Justin Lin brought Han back to life in Episode 9, while the character camped by Sung Kang was supposed to be dead after the events of Tokyo Drift.
Thanks to a script pirouette, Han is back alive, much to the surprise of the audience and the Swift family themselves. In episode 10, director Louis Leterrier gives us an Easter trick!
At the end of the film, Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his son are in bad shape, doomed to a fatal fate below a hydraulic dam, ready to explode. The story leaves us on this cliffhanger before showing us the final sequence.
Stranded in Antarctica, Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) and Schiffer (Charlize Theron) try to survive in the frozen wilderness. They then see a submarine break through the thick ice and rise to the surface. The hatch opens to reveal an iconic character from the previous installments: Gisele Harabaugh, played by Gal Gadot!
Featured in Fast and Furious 4, 5, and 6, he was part of Toretto’s team before suffering a violent and traumatic death. In Opus 6, during the plane chase scene (seen below), Giselle loses her life by sacrificing herself to save Han, her companion.
Apparently, he made it out alive. What explanation will Fast and Furious 11 give this Easter? Feedback In cinemas in 2025, the exact release date of the sequel has not yet been officially announced.
In any case, while promoting Fast and Furious 9, Sung Kang, aka Han, was already campaigning for Gal Gadot to return to the franchise.
“I think we need to get Gisele back… by all means. I think the fans want it. It has to happen somehow.”she said.
Giselle
Indeed, Gisele’s character was very popular among Fast and Furious fans. From a minor role in Episode 4, she became very important in Episodes 5 and 6, making her death all the more shocking to fans of the thrilling saga.
Fast 5 in particular helped launch the career of Gal Gadot, who later became DC Comics’ Wonder Woman and one of the most popular actresses in the world. Note that Giselle is not the only character to return to the license. The post-credits scene also features the return of Luke Hobbs, played by Dwayne Johnson!
