Moraes determines the execution of the sentence of Daniel Silveira

the minister Alexander of Moraesof the Federal Supreme Court (STF), decided this Tuesday (23) to determine the immediate execution of the sentence of the former federal deputy Daniel Silveira to eight years and nine months’ imprisonment.

In February, after leaving office, Silveira was cautiously arrested for failing to comply with house arrest rules and carrying out new attacks on the Supreme Court.

According to the decision, Silveira must undergo the usual official medical examinations to begin serving his sentence and have the period of provisional detention deducted from his final sentence.

Moraes’ decision came after the Supreme Court overturned a constitutional pardon granted by the former president last month. Jair Bolsonaro to the then federal deputy to prevent the initiation of the sentence.
