Being the son of a celebrity or two might seem cool on the surface. The money, fame and lifestyle that comes with it would be the dream of many children. But Candace Cameron Bure’s daughter Natasha Bure would disagree. The social media influencer spoke to her about her life with famous parents, explaining that she is not who people might assume she is.
Natasha Bure grew up in a home where the woman known to the world as DJ Tanner is her mother and beloved hockey player Valeri Bure is her father. It goes without saying that you have found yourself in a very comfortable situation. But having stardom as parents wasn’t all glitz and glamor, according to Bure, as she explained people that many are mistaken in assuming that everything is simply entrusted to him:
The misconception is that everything is given to you, or you don’t have to work for what you get. Personally, I feel like I’ve been through it since I was a kid, whether I was cast for a school play or something, I had people and friends saying, “Oh, that’s just because his mom gave him the part, ‘Or things like that.
Having someone judge you when you were a kid is hard enough, but having everyone judge you upfront because of your parent’s occupations must be even more difficult. Some may be quick to assume that actress Hallmark only landed roles because of her famous mother’s attraction to the entertainment industry. But as Natasha Bure recounts, her mother and father were not very involved in this aspect of her life, or in other parts of it:
My parents are so far from my life. They would like to be more involved, which we joke about all the time. I would say that I work for what I earn, I work alone and have a completely separate life from my parents, or anyone else, really.
It appears that her mother and father weren’t the stereotypical show business parents that some people expected them to be. Despite this parental situation, Candace Cameron Bure supported her daughter’s efforts, especially during the time of the young Bure at The voice. Likewise, Natasha has been betrayed by her mother when she matters most. Whether it’s online bullying or Cameron Bure’s infamous titjob photo, the two haven’t been shy about taking care of each other.
Natasha Bure has carved out a niche for herself on the small screen, starring in TV films such as the biopic Lifetime. Don’t worry about the little things alongside Heather Locklear. And as mentioned, she followed in her mother’s footsteps by starring in Hallmark Fare. She also played a younger version of her mother’s main character in The The mysteries of Aurora Teagarden Candace Cameron Bure recently moved from networking to GAC to develop, produce and star in new projects and is hosting the Thanksgiving networking training event. There’s always a chance that Natasha will find her way too, but if she was doing it, it could be assumed that she’ll try to do it for her merits and not for her “celebrity girl” status.
