Alec Baldwin took to Instagram on Tuesday (23) to announce the end of filming on Rust, a western starring the actor. The production became notorious after having the set witness a tragedy: the death of Halyna Hutchins, cinematographer, from an accidental shot fired by Baldwin.
It was decided, in May last year, that rust it would have ended even after the accident. Filming on the production resumed earlier this year.

rust is a low-budget western starring a 13-year-old boy who is left alone with his brother in the desert after his parents die in Kansas in the 1880s. Interestingly, the film also shows the boy accidentally killing a farmer, giving I begin to flee alongside my grandfather to avoid punishment by hanging.
Written and directed by Joel Souza, one of those injured in the crash, the director’s return to the set has been described by him as “bitter-sweet“. She promised to finish the feature”in the name of halyna“, with no working firearms or ammunition on set.
