These were the reactions of the cast of ‘Succession’ at the end of the HBO series

The end of the fourth season of ‘Succession’ has shown us the outcome of the Waystar Royco / GoJo agreement. But not before taking several major script twists along the way.

We enter the last episode with Shiv siding with Lukas Matsson, hoping to secure the American CEO job, only to end up running his father’s company. Kendall and Roman hoped to scuttle the deal and captain the Waystar ship themselves, though Roman was dealing with his own internal tensions.

In the end, Shiv changes sides after realizing that Matsson didn’t want her as CEO, mostly because he was attracted to her and if they got involved and it went public, it wouldn’t end well.

But his mistrust of Kendall was too strong and his swing vote meant the deal would finally go through, leaving the Roy brothers out and Shiv’s ambitious husband Tom Wambsgans in charge of Waystar.

Talking with Entertainment Tonightactor Kieran Culkin commented on this ending: “It’s one of those where, if they told me there was going to be a [temporada] five right after, would have made sense too“.

“It looks like an ending, but it feels like it could go on. And Roman has the same feeling. Nothing is wrapped in a pretty bow. There’s more life that will continue when the episode ends.”

Alan Ruck, who plays Connor Roy, also joked about it: “I will not say that I am happy, but I am very glad that I participated“.

The actor who plays Greg Hirsch (‘Cousin Greg’), Nicholas Braun, added that everything had been “perfect”, stating: “C.I think we were all very touched and excited to give you this. [a los fans]“.

In a low-key tone typical of her character, Gerri (J Smith-Cameron) said: “It’s pretty cool. A good surprise, you know, an unexpected twist.”

He added that the “Family history“has come to”a truly satisfying conclusion”but feel that “things don’t really end for my character“.

Although we would love a spin-off focused on someone like Gerri trying to navigate the new Waystar, owned by a tech investor who likes to send his ex-girlfriend buckets of frozen blood, It has become quite clear that ‘Succession’ will not have prequels, sequels or the like.

However, creator Jesse Armstrong has revealed where he thinks the Roy brothers are headed…
