9-1-1 on M6: Will there be a Season 7?

9-1-1 firefighters on the M6 are about to take a well-deserved rest.

Notably, a dirigible ball crashing into a crowded stadium on match day, a devastating explosion in the lab where Karen (Tracy Toms), Han’s wife (Aisha Hinds) works, or Bucky (Oliver) being electrocuted. Stark), struck by lightning during an intervention, Season 6 of the craziest series on the small screen concludes this Tuesday 30 May on M6, with the final two episodes airing from 9.10pm.

Quite spectacular, as is often the case when it comes to 9-1-1, the finale of this sixth installment, called “What binds us”, will see the entire intervention brigade of the series gather forces around the collapse of the bridge. A major traffic accident.

Unfortunately, despite their best efforts, it won’t take long for the victims to pile up, whether they be civilians or Firehouse 118. Fans should worry about Bobby (Peter Krause), Chimney (Kenneth Choi) or Eddie. (Ryan Guzman)? Will one of the 9-1-1 heroes die? Answer tonight at the end of this final episode, rich with twists.

Canceled, then saved, 9-1-1 will be given the rights to a 7th season… on another channel!

It’s rare enough to highlight: the season 6 finale, offered tonight at 9.55pm on M6, airs in France just two weeks after it aired in the US on Fox.

American fans were scared recently after Fox decided to cancel 9-1-1 at the end of its sixth season. Not because of disappointing ratings (the Angela Bassett- and Peter Krause-led series remains the channel’s most-watched feature this year), but because 9-1-1, produced by an outside studio, namely Disney-owned 20th Television, is too much for Fox. It was expensive.

Fortunately, this cancellation was anticipated by Disney, who, following the cancellation, announced that 9-1-1 would return next season to ABC (which is owned by the group) for a 7th season.

While the spin-off 9-1-1: Lone Star will continue to air on Fox, the firefighters of Los Angeles Firehouse 118 will therefore inherit a new home in the coming months. American viewers will have to wait a little longer, however, as the current writers’ strike, which could last for many more months, makes it unclear when the seventh season of 9-1-1 could air. Only at the beginning of 2024, not in September.

“Fox has been a great home for us for six years. But the move to ABC gives us an opportunity to reach a new audience, but perhaps revive the show.”Oliver Stark, Buck’s interpreter, recently confided in Variety about this channel change. “I think we’re all grateful to Fox, but we’re also excited to see what the future holds for ABC.”.

We still don’t know everything about the plot of 9-1-1 Season 7, with none of the episodes written yet due to the writers’ strike. But considering how Season 6 ends, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the two heroes’ cruise turn into a nightmare in the first episode of this upcoming seventh installment.
