Manifesto is over: How does the Netflix series end?

We are here. After five years and four twist-filled seasons, Netflix finally released the final ten episodes of Manifest on June 2nd. The series, which he saved from cancellation, followed a group of returning passengers after their plane disappeared for 5.5 years. They haven’t aged a bit and don’t know what happened to them at that time. Before.

In Season 4 Episode 2, the passengers find themselves locked in a detention center where their calls are screened. The goal is to find out how they actually work and try to solve them in order to hopefully survive the date of death, which is scheduled for June 2, 2024. Meanwhile, Angelina (Holly Taylor) – who is still alive and has absorbed the sapphire – gathers loyalists around her, whom she promises a place on her ark during the apocalypse.

The signs of the end times become more and more apparent with the arrival of the ten plagues of Egypt: swarms of locusts, then sores ending in water that turns to blood… Very quickly, the planet is hit by many earthquakes. Lava cracks can be seen everywhere. The volcano we find in the Al-Zuras card game is finally here.

Callie (Ty Doran) realizes that she must be one with Omega Sapphire, but Angelina refuses to help her. Saanvi then recalls that the wood from Noah’s ark also contains the substance. When the boy makes contact with her, she is stunned and disappears in front of her father. The next day, the day of their death, the missing plane appears in the same place.

The passengers board, but they catch Angelica and her followers, who ask them to get off because they are not living according to her. As the ground rumbles and threatens to pull the plane into the bowels of the earth, all passengers board the plane except Ben and Angelica. The patriarch decides to save the young woman’s life, despite her crime. The plane takes off.

Final verdict

The captain of the plane decides to enter the white light that is divine consciousness. It is time for the final judgment: everyone who has not worked for good in recent years dies. Including Angelica. Saanvi survived despite the murder committed because her good deed tipped the scales in her favor. Then a dark shadow appears in front of them, which we imagine to be the Grim Reaper, presumably unhappy with the number of souls he has collected.

The passages stand together and remind him of how they tried to save humanity by answering the calls. The shadow disappears and the plane becomes immobile. When they get off the plane, they realize they are back at the airport… at the moment of their disappearance. Flight 828 finally landed and did not disappear for 5 years.

Ben (Josh Dallas) discovers his wife is still alive, Michaela falls into her mother’s arms… We find Cal as a child (thanks to digital rejuvenation). The events of recent years are remembered only by passengers.

Michaela runs to Jared and returns her engagement ring, knowing that she must end up with Drea (who was pregnant by him). She decides to go find Zeke and knows that even if he doesn’t know her and doesn’t remember her past life, they are meant for each other.

The series also ends with this line: “No one can explain what happened to us on April 7, 2013. I know that this day changed our lives foreverIn other words, everyone has to make up their own theory…
