DJ Paul Oakenfold accused of sexual harassment by former assistant

The famous DJ Paul Oakenfold, composer of the soundtrack of “A Senha: Swordfish” (2001), has been accused of sexual harassment by his former personal assistant. The possible victim, identified only as Jane Roe, a 24-year-old woman, also alleges she has suffered numerous labor rights violations.

The lawsuit was filed June 2 in Los Angeles Superior Court. The author claims that two companies run by CEO Paul Stepanek, New Frequency Management and Stepanek Management-Oakenfold, have violated her employment rights.

The plaintiff says that after getting a job in October 2022, she was assigned to be Oakenfold’s assistant. For this work she would be paid $20 an hour.

Jane Roe worked at the DJ’s house, she reports, and the DJ even masturbated in front of her at first. As of mid-November 2022, she reportedly did it four times in just one day. She also allegedly performed the act inside her vehicle.

After reporting the lawsuit to management, the actor reportedly received a non-disclosure agreement. She was also prevented from returning to work for not signing such an agreement and she was reportedly threatened with termination.

Also according to the trial, the victim claims to have signed the term of confidentiality “under duress”. She was allowed to return to work, however, she was not given the same post and was left to work with Oakenfold. However, according to her, her working hours were reduced and she ended up being fired in March of this year for “lack of work”.

The suit has five claims and seeks damages in excess of $25,000.
