Hortense leaves her mother

Accompanied by Eliot, Hortense gathers her belongings at her mother’s. The latter tries to stop her from explaining her actions, but Hortense violently rejects her.

Meanwhile, at the boarding school, Livio thanks Vic for saving him from a trap set for his mother. Hortense is back with Eliot. She covers herself with Mehdi’s arms in tears.

Hortense expresses her emotions to the rest of the group: she is shocked, angry and sad at the same time. She mostly feels stupid for not believing her friends about her mother. He also blames himself for accusing Livio. The young man does not hold it against himself. Even if Mehdi thinks it would be nice to know the reasons why Eugene acted the way he did, Hortense doesn’t feel ready to listen to his explanations.

At the park, Vicky supports her sister. Eugene returns to see them and talk to them. Hortense finally agreed to listen to him. Eugene explains that he feels very bad because their father filed for divorce. The idea of her eldest daughter returning to Bordeaux was the only thing that gave her a little happiness. Eugene claims that the situation was under control because he administered enough doses to make her sick without it being serious. Hortense replies that she acted out of selfishness, not love. Now she wants to distance herself from him.

Hortense goes to Teyssier’s office to inform him that she does not want to press charges against her mother. He is ready to take the position of associate professor at the institute until the end of the cycle, and then enter the examinations for the position of full professor in the top three. To get back into the swing of things, Hortense also asks to take responsibility for the last lesson of Year 1.

Eugene, on the other hand, returns to Bordeaux, where he decides to start therapy. He apologizes to Hortense before leaving. Teissier follows him to the door. If he respects Hortense’s choice, the director is still going to write a letter to the doctors asking for Eugene’s release. As for Hortense, she finds comfort in her boyfriend, who tells her he plans to go to the Masters next year.

In the kitchen, Hortense meets Livio, who has come to say goodbye to the students. Instead, she offers to teach him together, which he happily accepts.

After class, Hortense finds Vic in the park. Both are struggling to recover from what happened to their mother. All this allowed Vick to understand that he was not interested in jealousy towards his sister, because a beloved girl is not easy. He resents his parents for being apart for so long. Now, Hortense and Vicky feel more united than ever.

Teissier announces the course of examinations

Every student in the institute has a different way of revising. Bill and Tom tend to revise the theory, despite Lionel’s warning about the difficulty of the tests they are about to take. The students then receive a message from Taysier, who summons all to the amphitheater, at last at noon, to reveal to them the course of the examinations.

Emmanuel confesses to Antoine that the Co-Lanta experience inspired him for this year’s exams. That’s why he doesn’t want to focus on competition, but rather on the collective spirit. Indeed, the principal realized that because they want to be the best, students don’t necessarily know how to work in a team.

In the amphitheater, Teissier announces the course of tests: on Thursday the students will take the first technical test, then on Tuesday the second creative test. According to him, the students will pass the exams in the brigade. They will be drawn by lot and will be composed of one or 1st, 2nd and 3rd year students respectively. This choice causes serious concern and protest among students who refuse to take exams just because they end up with someone incompetent…

Rose apologizes to Solal

Rose begins to work on Olivia’s portrait alone, but still refuses Solal’s help. However, Antoine believes that everything should be fine if he spells things out clearly. But Rose blames herself for giving the student false hope. However, Antoine discovers that his sensitive and generous side is a trait.

In the studio, Rose interviews Olivia about her trip and one of her signature dishes. Everything is going well until Solal arrives, who has reserved a room for her revision. Rose is willing to leave the room for him, but Solal prefers to drive.

Later, Rose calls out to Solal in the hallway. He takes the opportunity to apologize for the misunderstanding in the room, but also for the cruel way he used the day before. It was important for him to clarify things. However, she doesn’t want Solal to be embarrassed by what she told him. He considers it his fault, because he did not set boundaries. But Solali excuses her, saying that she would have developed feelings for him no matter what.

Solali finds Axel at the cafe to tell him what happened. Rose’s half-brother is proud of her. All that remains for Solal is to turn the page.
