Berlusconi spends a peaceful night in the Milan hospital

The former prime minister hospitalized for scheduled exams

Former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi’s first night at the San Raffaele hospital in Milan passed peacefully, health sources reported on Saturday (10).

The leader of the conservative Forza Italia party (FI) was hospitalized again last Friday (9) to carry out “scheduled tests in relation to his known hematological pathology”, according to a bulletin signed by Alberto Zangrillo, head of intensive care and “Knight” doctor and Fabio Ciceri, head of Hematology.

Berlusconi was discharged from the same hospital on May 19, after more than 40 days in hospital to treat a lung infection aggravated by chronic myelomonocytic leukemia, from which he had been suffering for some time.

He has since remained in prison, but this Saturday (10) he will participate in a meeting with the leaders of his party, which is part of the support base of Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.

The former prime minister remains accompanied by his partner, Marta Fascina, and their eldest daughter, Marina. Official sources deny that Berlusconi is in intensive care and reiterate that the Italian politician’s medical visits are continuing.

According to the medical team, the tests he undergoes meet “clinical criteria of normal medical practice” and there are no “criticisms or alarms” for his state of health.
