Johanna receives help from fate
Johanna understood very well that Claudine had stolen the apartment key to break into her house. A furious lawyer is going to make things clear this morning during a partners’ meeting. A moment that he says promises to be bloody. Even though he feels bad about it too, Ian still advises him not to do it. All he can do now is let her know that he is.
Meanwhile, Maitre Levars tells Ocean Tier that the prosecutor did not delay his complaint. To his client’s dismay, the lawyer obliges him to take the case to civil proceedings, which he accepts.
Johanna then tells her uncle how Claudine did what it took to win the case. Only Gilham finds it hard to believe her and thinks his niece is becoming paranoid. To him, Claudine is too brilliant and pragmatic a woman to turn into such a fool.
In turn, Ian tells the whole story to Hugo. Although he finds this surprising, he seems to believe his friend. In spite of everything, he reminds that he also messed up in this story, because he should never have brought the procedural elements home. Ian, recognizing this, swears it won’t happen again.
Not far from there, Claudine must send her findings to the Register to confront Master Levar on the Delariv case. So he instructs Margot to take the papers from his desk and then hand them over to the courier. Right next door, Johanna missed nothing from their exchange.
At the end of the day, Johanna takes advantage of Margot on the phone with a client to enter Claudine’s office before filing documents in a colleague’s file. After a few seconds, Johanna leaves the room without having seen or known her.
He calls Jan on his way home. If she kept Claudine’s face calm, the young woman explains, on the other hand, that she had a little help from fate. Faced with the companion’s questions, Johanna still swears that she has not done anything illegal.
Elena runs away
Claire spent the night in front of the savages’ storage room. At dawn, Helen arrives to go to work and Claire goes home to go to work.
When her companion chides her for a sleepless night attached to a workday, Claire reminds her that she’s used to it. Arriving ten minutes late at the hospital, Lorin makes a pointed remark.
At noon, Helen is hiding in front of the storeroom when she sees two teenagers sneaking in, including Tom, Emma’s brother, who is a gamer. Helen immediately warns Claire. After the latter is about to call the police, but Helen advises him against it, since the investigators still do not know about Victor’s disappearance.
As the adults leave the room, Helen goes to meet them. When he asks them what they’re doing with Victor’s computers in their hands, Tom’s accomplice calls him on his case. No matter how much he insists, he refuses to answer and even ends up insulting her. Helen then pulls a revolver from her pocket and threatens to shoot them in three seconds if they don’t say what they’re going to do with the boxes.
Seeing him do this, Claire intervenes to knock him down and Tom’s accomplice takes the opportunity to escape. Then Helen demands answers from Tom. Distraught, he therefore makes her believe that he has simply come to collect things for his sister Emma. However, Elena knows very well that she is lying and loses her temper. Again Claire tries to calm him down.
After a while, Helen and Claire brought Emma. After his sister picks up a good air conditioner, Tom admits that he made a copy of the storage room keys to monitor the goods. At the end, Emma tells him that she is facing prison. He then turns to Claire and Helen to explain that if they call the police, his brother’s life will be ruined. Claire immediately stops him, explaining that all she wants is to find her father.
Once alone, Claire asks Helen to explain about the firearm. The latter then replies that it is a collectible gun before specifying that it was not loaded. He just wanted to scare them.
