“Fury Road” was released in theaters on May 15, 2015 and was the fourth installment of the series on the big screen. The film starred Tom Hardy as Max Rockatansky and Charlize Theron as Furiosa. The prequel aims to tell the origin of the iconic character and Taylor-Joy will play the empress years before the last film, which will also see the return of George Miller to the director’s chair.
